Springhead Newark

The brewery began its life in 1990 as the smallest micro in England in a tiny outbuilding adjoining the original brewer's house in Sutton on Trent in North Nottinghamshire by a bend in the River Trent known locally as Springhead. Their draught ales soon attracted critical acclaim from both the trade and the public alike and after only 3 years the brewery moved to larger premises and new equipment to enable 10 Barrels to be brewed at one time. The draught beers, many of which have an English Civil War theme, are delivered to pubs within a 100 mile radius and are available nationally through leading wholesalers.
